Downtown Muscatine is gearing up for one of its most anticipated evenings of the year as the Greater Muscatine Chamber of Commerce & Industry and local businesses present the 6th Annual Sip & Shop 5 to 8 p.m on Friday, June 5, 2026. This signature summer kickoff invites guests to stroll, sip, and shop their way through the heart of downtown while enjoying exclusive tastings, specials, and a lively community atmosphere.
Participating shops will stay open late with in‑store deals, wine and craft beer samples, and non‑alcoholic options for registered attendees. The evening begins at Proof Social (208 W 2nd Street), where guests can pick up their tasting glass and event map starting at 4:30 p.m.
After exploring downtown, attendees are encouraged to stop by Contrary Brewing and The Creek’s patio for a chance to win door prizes and continue the evening’s festivities.

Tickets are $25.00 and must be purchased in advance to guarantee samples. Participants must be 21 and over to take part in beverage sampling.

Guests are encouraged to make it a full evening downtown by staying at The Merrill Hotel, located just steps from the shops. Call the hotel and ask for “the Chamber Rate” when booking.
