Innocent Timot, 36, of Columbus City, passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at the University of Iowa Hospital. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 1, 2026 from 4-7 P.M. at Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services of Columbus Junction; there will be a prayer service at 5 P.M. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at 10:00 A.M at the Marion Avenue Baptist Church in Washington. Burial will be at the Columbus City Cemetery following the service. Memorials in Innocent’s name may be made to Jesline and their children.
Innocent Timot was born on October 3, 1989, in Gonaïves, Haiti, to Maurice and Joiceline (Romelus) Timot. On July 15, 2015, he married the love of his life, Jesline Saincilus, in his hometown of Gonaïves. Family was at the center of Innocent’s life, and his children meant everything to him. He was a devoted and active member of Marion Avenue Baptist Church, where he found strength and community. Innocent had a passion for driving big trucks and took great pride in his work. He will be remembered for his vibrant spirit, warm heart, and the kind of smile that could light up any room.
Those left to honor his memory are his wife of 10 years, Jesline; 18-month-old twins Ivennat and Ivennot; siblings Moslin, Jacki, Jacklin, Veline, Shelda, Janine, John, Maucelin, Jacky, Jacklin, Michelet, Johnsley, Veline, Shelda and Jeannine; along with his extended family, friends, and in-laws.
He was preceded in death by his parents Maurice and Joiceline.
