The women’s NCAA Tournament selection committee released the top 16 seeds on Saturday, March 14. Iowa women’s basketball, as expected, is among the top 16.
The significance of that announcement — those teams will host first- and second-round games in March Madness on March 20-23.
The selection committee released the 16 teams in alphabetical order. The actual seeds will be announced on Selection Sunday (March 15) at 7 p.m. CT on ESPN.
The Hawkeyes are expected to be a 2-seed in one of the four regionals when the bracket is announced Sunday. Games will be held at Carver-Hawkeye Arena on March 20/22 or March 21/23.
