Muscatine Police Arrest Suspect In Stabbing Incident

The Muscatine Police Department has announced that they have made an arrest the stabbing incident that occurred on Walnut Street earlier this week.

According the release, Muscatine police say a suspect has been arrested following a stabbing reported Monday evening in the 200 block of Walnut Street, according to the Muscatine Police Department.

Kaleb Allen Sosa, 19, was arrested and charged with willful injury, a Class D felony.

Officers responded at approximately 7:35 p.m. Monday after receiving a 911 call reporting a stabbing in the area. The initial investigation determined that a verbal confrontation between two adult males escalated, resulting in one individual being stabbed.

The victim, Jason Cannon, 37, is expected to make a full recovery. Sosa is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
