Caitlin Clark’s signature shoe is going to include exciting technology that hasn’t been used in a basketball shoe before, the Indiana Fever guard told Jason and Travis Kelce on their “New Heights” podcast in a clip shared online this week.
Coming up with what that looks and feels like has “been a huge part of the process and the creation of the shoe,” she added. “The technology that we’re going to put into it isn’t anything that they’ve ever put into a basketball shoe before, so I’m really excited about that.”
Nike released the first-ever ad for Clark’s signature shoe on Christmas Day. When it comes to Nike shoe ads, the day is prime real estate that has historically been reserved for releases from NBA players.
The shoe is part of a massive $28 million deal Clark signed with the brand soon after she was drafted as the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft.
