Families are invited to celebrate the holiday season at the annual Candy Cane Hunt hosted by the Muscatine Parks and Recreation Department. The event begins at 6 p.m. on Friday, December 5, at Riverside Park near Pearl City Station.
Kids can explore the park in search of hidden candy canes, trading each one they find for a fun prize. Two designated hunt areas will be available in the green space near the basketball courts: one for children in pre-kindergarten through first grade, and another for those in second through fourth grade.
Because the hunt happens after dark, participants are encouraged to bring a flashlight. A limited number will also be available to borrow from Parks and Recreation staff.
