The United Way Muscatine County is hosting the Muskie Day of Caring on Friday, May 2 from 8:30-11 a.m. and 1-3 p.m. and is currently seeking projects for teams of volunteers to complete.
United Way Muscatine County are expecting to have around 100-130 volunteers throughout the community that day and need your help to identify volunteer opportunities. Some examples of projects that can be completed include painting, administrative duties, yard work for senior citizens, cleaning up city parks, volunteering at nursing homes, reading to children, reorganizing storage spaces for non-profit/city spaces and more.
Click here to provide project information via a Google form. Someone from your designated organization will need to be on-site (at least initially) to provide direction to the volunteers, and your organization will be responsible for providing any needed supplies (paint, brushes, etc.)
If there is yard work that needs to be done and volunteers should bring additional rakes or other materials, please note that in the description.
Projects must be submitted by March 31. Once projects are submitted, the United Way will open up the registration for volunteers!
