It is National Red Ribbon Week. Red Ribbon Week is an awareness program nationwide to help bring to focus the awareness of drug prevention for school aged children.
Local area schools will be participating in the week in a variety of ways. Activities include dressing in a particular style each day, school wide assemblies and presentations.
At the high school, the student organization Students Against Destructive Decisions will be making a Wall of Respect, while students at Central can donate 25 cents to New Horizons Drug Treatment Center to participate in wearing hats and sunglasses in class.
