This holiday season, to me, truly is “The Most Wonderful Time of Year”. I love being able to get together with my family and celebrate this season of giving and receiving, not to mention singing all my favorite Christmas songs at Christmas Eve services at my church. I hope you too, were able to have a Merry Christmas this year, whether you gathered with family from near and far, or if you just spent it with you closest loved ones, I hope it was wonderful. Now we are facing the end of 2018 and the beginning of the new year. I am excited about the many opportunities that 2019 offers. There is just something noteworthy about how the new year feels like a hard reset, or a chance to start fresh. That feeling of being able to take on resolutions to change something in your life for a more positive year. There is a stigma surrounding New Year resolutions that may discourage some people from even attempting to reach their goals. I encourage you to create a clear goal and do everything you can to attain whatever it is. Taking steps to complete a goal will exponentially improve your mood and entering the New Year with a positive attitude will work wonders in your life. I want to wish everyone a happy New Year, with a reminder to celebrate safely, and enjoy responsibly! Have a Happy New Year from everyone here at the Voice of Muscatine, and don’t forget to tune in every weekday morning for Moving Forward.
