Chris Anderson announced last week that he formally submitted to be on the ballot for the Muscatine Community School Board.
Anderson is a lifelong resident of Muscatine who attended Colorado Elementary, Central Middle School, and graduated from Muscatine High School in 1997. He and his wife, Melissa, have two children, Ainsley and Wyatt.
Anderson values education in Muscatine. “I think I can bring a fresh perspective, contribute to the conversation and vision, I’m friends with many teachers and consistently encouraged by my former teachers to do it. I love the experience I had as a board member and assistant executive director at Flickinger Learning Center and would love to take my involvement in education to the next level.”
Anderson graduated from Muscatine Community College in 1999 and from Iowa Wesleyan University in 2002 with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration.
Anderson currently serves in several community roles including President of the Muscatine History Industry Center, University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital Family Advisory Council, and President of the Ainsley Faith Foundation. Anderson has also served on the board for the Flickinger Learning Center.
Anderson is a Partner in Neighborhood Marketing, Sunrise River Gallery, and Bash-N-Bounce.
