Candy Cane Hunt returns to the riverfront this year

The community is invited to come and join in on some deliciously good fun down on the riverfront during the Annual Candy Cane Hunt on Friday, Dec. 3. The hunt is sponsored by the Muscatine Parks and Recreation Department.

The fun will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 3, in Riverside Park outside the Pearl City Station.

Children will be scrambling to gather sweet treats to keep, and will receive a prize for each candy cane found. “Special” candy canes will be sprinkled around the area of the hunt that can be redeemed at Pearl City Station for a special toy.

Areas will be set up in the green space near the basketball courts for two age groups including pre-kindergarten through first grade and second through fourth grade girls and boys. The Candy Cane Hunt will be held in the dark, so bring a flashlight if you wish. LED flashlights will be available from our sponsors if you do not have one.

Please contact the Muscatine Parks and Recreation Department at (563) 263-0241 for more information.
