Muscatine area residents gathered with city staff and representatives from Short Elliott Hendrickson, Inc., on Wednesday, December 16 to discuss ideas for the Riverfront Master Plan.

Ed Freer worked on the previous revitalization project and spoke to those in attendance about possible ideas. He gave a presentation on different trends and design ideas from across the country.

Attendees were then invited to place a sticker and sticky notes on their preferences and make recommendations for possible plans that may work in Muscatine. The design team will take the information collected and begin to design a possible plan.

Once a design is pulled together, it will be presented to the Muscatine community for input and feedback.

Initial work on any potential changes is not expected to begin for two to three years, as the project is in the early planning stages.
