West Branch, Iowa – On Sunday, February 17th at 2:00 PM, the Herbert Hoover Presidential Library-Museum will celebrate Presidents Day and the publication of the final book in The Life of Herbert Hoover series with a special event in the Hoover Museum auditorium. Carl Christensen will present his unique interpretation of Herbert Hoover, holding forth in character as America’s 31st President.
Former director of the Hoover Museum, Timothy Walch, will then take the stage to discuss Presidential Libraries and biographies. He will close with Gary Dean Best’s The Life of Herbert Hoover: Keeper of the Torch, 1933-1964. This book is the sixth in the series sponsored by the Herbert Hoover Presidential Library Association, completing the project begun more than thirty years ago.
The Life of Herbert Hoover: Keeper of the Torch, 1933-1964 is available for purchase in the Museum Gift Shop. Following the program calligrapher Cheryl Jacobsen will be available to inscribe the book.
