Iowa Wesleyan to collect toilet paper for Fellowship Cup

Iowa Wesleyan College students, faculty and staff will be collecting toilet paper for the Fellowship Cup in Mount Pleasant on Monday, January 20, as part of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service.  Toilet paper is a staple item at the Fellowship Cup but it is one that is often overlooked.  Volunteers will be at Hy-Vee from 8:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. to accept donations.  For more than 40 years, service has been an integral part of the Iowa Wesleyan College education.  Service opportunities are incorporated into the academic curriculum and available through co-curricular events such as this.

The Corporation for National and Community Service leads the annual MLK Day of Service, working with the King Center in Atlanta and thousands of nonprofit groups, faith-based organizations, schools and businesses nationwide. The annual event was designed to honor Dr. Martin Luther King's legacy.
