Fishing At Deep Lakes Park (10:00 am - 11:00 am)
Join Conservation Board Staff at Deep Lakes Park for some fishing on Saturday, May 25 from 10-11 AM.
This program is free for all ages and all equipment will be provided. Ages 16 years and older need a valid fishing license.

Campground Programs - Fish Hatchery (6:00 pm)
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Mississippi River Project invites campers and the visiting public to attend campground programs held at Clark's Ferry and Shady Creek Recreation Areas. Throughout the summer, from Memorial Day to Labor Day, presenters will cover a host of topics for all to enjoy. As a reminder, all campground programs are subject to cancellation or rescheduling in the event of rain or severe weather.

Meet Ken Snyder from the Department of Natural Resources fish hatchery to learn how a fish hatcher works and tour the facility.

Lock And Dam #16 Tours (2:00 pm - 3:00 pm)
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Mississippi River Project invites the public to enjoy a tour of Lock and Dam #16. Every Sunday from May 26, 2013 through September 1, 2013 at 2:00 PM, weather permitting, tours of Locks and Dam #16 will be conducted for the public. A special Memorial Day weekend tour will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2013 at 2:00 PM. Lock and Dam #16 is located off 102nd Ave West on the Illinois side of the Mississippi River about one mile upstream from the bridge in Muscatine, IA. Participants will be presented with a history of the Upper Mississippi River system, how the river system operates and the process it takes to move a barge through a lock. The tour is capped off with a walk on the lock structure. Walking is a part of the tour, so participants must wear shoes with enclosed toes and an enclosed back (tennis shoes are best). Advance reservations are required as group size is limited. Please allow approximately one hour to complete the tour. Memorial Day Service (9:00 am - 12:00 - noon)
Memorial Day Services at Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery, sponsored by Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery and the George M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services will be held on Monday, May 27 at 9 AM
The theme for this year is "Some Gave All".
The program will be held rain or shine in front of the Life Transition and Cremation Center on the grassy area east of the mausoleum in Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery. Parking is available at Faith United Church of Christ across the street. A free shuttle from the Church to the Cemetery will be provided. A limited number of seats will be available for the elderly and handicapped.
Lawn Chairs are welcome.

Eastern Iowa Brass Band At Herbert Hoover Museum (2:00 pm - 5:00 pm)
On Monday, May 27 at 2:00 p.m., the Eastern Iowa Brass Band will perform a free concert at the Herbert Hoover Presidential Museum. This concert is the first of many events scheduled this summer in conjunction with the new temporary exhibit, Iowans and the Civil War.
The Herbert Hoover Presidential Museum is located in West Branch, Iowa, ¼ mile off I-80 at Exit 254. The Museum is open daily from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. This concert is free and open to the public, there is no reserve seating. Regular admission is charged to go through the Museum galleries.
