A Muscatine County man is dead following a mowing accident near Blue Grass.

It happened a little after 4 on Saturday afternoon.

The Muscatine County Sheriff’s Office says Blue Grass firefighters and a deputy were dispatched to 3922 Highway 61 to investigate a possible fatal accident involving a lawn tractor overturning on the driver.

Deputies say the body of 69-year-old Donald Roy Fister of that address was found under his lawn tractor at the base of a roadside ditch, which he had been mowing.
