Heart surgeon Dr. Alyas Chaudhry will lead the community class about the risks and symptoms of heart disease and what can be done to avoid it.

Chaudhry will present his class in the Community Education Room at Trinity Muscatine at 7 p.m., on Thursday, Sept. 20.

There is no cost to attend, however seating is limited. To reserve a seat, call 264-9486.

Heart disease is the leading cause of death among men and women in the United States according to the American Heart Association. One in three Americans suffer from some form of heart disease, but it can be prevented in most cases.

A graduate from The Chicago Medical School, Chaudhry has been part of the heart surgery team at Trinity since 2009.
