Trooper Dan from the Iowa State Patrol wants to remind Iowans when it's cold outside to travel prepared. Trooper Dan suggest the following:

1.       Make sure to take warm clothing with you ( Coat, hat, etc.)
2.       Make sure your vehicle has at least ½ tank of gas at all times.
3.       Take along a charged cell phone and/or tell someone your travel plans.
4.       If you have trouble call 911 to tell police your location and when possible stay in your vehicle for protection until help arrives.
