HNI fulfilled the Blue Zones Worksite designation criteria including successfully registering and engaging more than 1100 of its employees to complete healthy actions – well above the 25% required for designation. HNI Corporation already had many well-being policies and practices in place and pursuing Blue Zones Worksite designation provided ways to made additional progress.
Looking for a place to take your Valentine? The Pearl City Player's Society, freshly new Muscatine Chamber of Commerce members, will perform a dinner theater play at the Rendezvous on Lucas Street. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, Feb 14th, 15th, and 16th. Before Friday's performance the Chamber will have a ribbon cutting to welcome the Pearl City Players into the Chamber. A Muscatine man faces burglary, assault, drug and other charges in Davenport.Thirty-year-old Matthew J. Collins is accused of breaking into his ex-girlfriend's apartment while she was home from work sick, assaulting her and making her call the Muscatine County Attorney's office to say she would not press charges against him from an earlier assault. The Quad-City Times reports Collins then made her go out to eat but she later escaped at a Bettendorf gas station and had the clerk call police. Davenport police spotted Collins and pulled him over. He’s in Scott County Jail.
Friday night the Muskie Boys and Girls both recorded victories on the basketball court, but it was during halftime when tears were falling down cheeks, and a smile was on every face when MHS honored the 25th anniversary of the 1989 Girls Basketball and Softball State Championship. Sarah Anderson earned Varsity Letters in 4 sports as a Muskie, and she was a starter on both of those Basketball and Softball State Championships.
