Dead bodies were found in the Quad Cities on back to back days. Monday evening Rock Island coroner confirms the body of 43 year old missing male, Steven Califf was found in the Mississippi River, then Tuesday night Scott County police found a body of a dead female in Centennial park, Davenport police withheld the name until the family can be notified.
Last night were the Iowa Caucuses state wide, and hundreds of people participated right here in Muscatine. The caucus is your opportunity to gather with your neighborhood, address and speak about your concerns. Caucus goers discuss laws or regulations they are concerned with, and they pass resolutions that are sent to their respected parties. Eventually the Republican and Democratic parties of Iowa create their party platform, and that platform helps guide, and advises their parties legislators on which issues are important to their party members.
The United Way of Muscatine's Volunteer Center will be February 27th from 3pm-5pm at the First National Bank's Walnut Room. If you have a nonprofit, or volunteer organization, and would like a booth at this expo, contact the United Way this week.
The West Liberty Lion's Club is hosting a blood drive on Monday, February 3rd, from 2pm-7pm at the First Church United Fellowship Hall. You need to bring a photo idea, and remember to eat something before you give blood.
