The Louisa County Historical Society will host its third annual Tractor Ride on Saturday. The group will leave from the Wapello Museum on Highway 61 at 9. Lunch along the way will be furnished with drawings for prizes at the conclusion of the ride. Danny Gipple says part of the route will be along the river levee and on the Great River Road all the way to Muscatine. Mac McGill says to expect to see lots of different makes and models of tractors moving at about 15 to 20 miles per hour, a lot faster then you would go mowing your lawn. For more information or a registration form to participate, call McGill at (319) 729-2281 or Gipple at (319) 523-8278.
