Louisa County could see 4-lanes on U.S. Highway 61 according an Iowa Department of Transportation proposal that has been in the works since 2011. A public forum was held last week regarding the potential reconstruction of U.S. 61 in Louisa County from north of 130th Street to the existing four-lane roadway at the Muscatine County line. The DOT will accept written comments regarding the nearly $30 million project until Monday, March 25.
