An audit by Iowa Auditor David Vaudt shows more than $9,000 has been mishandled by officials in the city of Buffalo. That’s according to KWQC-TV. The money mishandled includes more than $5,000 in improper disbursements made between September 2008 and September 2010. Vaudt’s report says it is impossible to determine if there were more improperly collected or disbursed funds because of inadequate records.
Eulenspiegel Puppet Theatre in West Liberty presents its 15th annual “Puppets and Pastries: Dessert Theatre For Adults” at 8 in the evening on Friday, February, 22nd, and Saturday, February 23rd. Friends of Musser Public Library are hosting a trivia night starting at 6:30 this Friday, February 8th, at the Moose Lodge, 207 Lake Park Boulevard, Muscatine. Iowa’s deer harvest declined for the seventh straight year as hunters adjust to the smaller herd and to fewer antlerless tags. The Iowa DNR says hunters reported 115,000 deer harvested for the 2012 season, a decline of nearly 5 percent.
