Union Members locked out of Grain Processing Corporation for more than four years are voting today on a new contract.
UFCW Local 86D President Tony Newton confirmed that the union members locked out of GPC in Muscatine on Aug 22, 2008 are voting from 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. today at the union office 1401 Oregon St., Muscatine
Newton said that GPC provided the union with a new proposal on Monday; members have had the opportunity to review the details and can vote if they wish to do so. Newton said it is time for the members to decide if the contract is something they wish to agree to.
