This past weekend marked the end of two events. At 11am on Saturday, the two

weeks of love officially came to a close. Toy Time ended with what appears to

have been a very successful week, The Hawkeye Hauler was just under Half full

more than last years donations – with toys  and non perishable food items.

The second was the retirement of Mayor Dewayne Hopkins from the Freezing

for Food and Toy Time campaign/ Mayor Hopkins stated that he may step in as

an adviser to the campaign if needed.

Mayor Dewayne Hopkins was awarded a 12 inch chocolate chip cookie – 1 inch

for every year on the Two Weeks Of Love Campaign – by Captain Rick Ray at

the conclusion of Freezing For Food.
