The Muscatine Parks and Recreation Department is hosting a community candy cane hunt on Friday.

It takes place at 7 Friday night on the Muscatine Riverfront.

Areas will be set up in the green space near the basketball courts for two age groups: Pre-K to 1st grade and 2nd grade to 4th grade.

There will be lots of candy canes and several “special” candy canes that can be redeemed at Pearl City Station for a new holiday toy.

Cookies and drinks will be available at Pearl City Station after the hunt.

Since the candy cane hunt will be held in the dark, bring a flashlight if you can. LED flashlights will be available from sponsors if you do not have one to bring.
