Noble Murder Investigation Update |

(Updated 4:55PM) Preliminary autopsy results from the Office of the Iowa State Medical Examiner in Ankeny indcate that the victim died as a result of strangulation, blunt force trauma to the head and stab wounds to the head.
The preliminary manner of death determination by the medical examiner's office is homicide. Muscatine police arrested 38 year old Brett Noble at 3:30AM today. Noble has been charged with Murder in the First Degree, punishable by mandatory life imprisonment. Noble appeared before Muscatine County District Associate Judge Gary P. Stausser this morning. Strausser set bond at $2 million cash only. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for January 22nd at 9AM. Noble was said to have admitted to the murder during police questioning and has chosen to represent himself at trial. The investigation into the death of Krisi Nicosia is ongoing.
