For over 25 years, Steve “Possum” and Pam Tomfeld have been putting on fun-filled weekends on their property in Conesville. Memorial Day weekend signifies the return of the “Redneck Revival.” This is your chance to camp out, have fun, and, if you’re feeling brave, hit the drag strip! Over the last four years, I’ve had the privilege of getting to know Possum, Pam, Fender, Charlie, and the entire crew, and I cannot tell you how much fun we have. “Redneck Revival” was recently featured as part of a social media video of the “Top 10 Most Redneck Cities in Iowa.” The event is open to everyone 21 years old or older. I’ve even been known to hit the drag strip in the Vintage Sound Car when challenged. My current record is 3-4, which isn’t too shabby, considering some of the vehicles I’ve gone up against!

Music plays a big role and the event features the best up-and-coming artists in outlaw country world. There are fun and games, some of which I can’t go into detail about here, but I can encourage you to get the weekend breakdown at On Facebook, simply search “Conesville Rallies.” So, if you haven’t made plans at this point for Memorial Day weekend 2016, I highly recommend the “Redneck Revival.” You can even bring in your RV! Food, drinks, vendors, and clean bathrooms are all available on-site. I promise, once you spend a weekend with Possum and the crew, you’ll be longing to come back! Here’s to a great weekend!
