Muscatine’s Anna Mack has been elected Vice President of Region 7 of the Iowa Association of Realtors. Mack has been a realtor for over 10 years and is the broker-owner of Pearl City Iowa Realty, with an office in downtown Muscatine and a branch office in downtown Tipton.
The Iowa Association of Realtors (IAR) is the governing body at the state level for all licensed realtors in the state of Iowa and the leading advocate for more than 6,800 real estate professionals in Iowa. They offer many benefits to realtors, such as professional development courses through the IAR School Real Estate, legal counseling, governmental advocacy and representation through Realtors Political Action Committee, advertising and public awareness of the differences between a licensed realtor and a real estate agent, and many other benefits.
Mack will serve as Vice President of Region 7, which includes the Muscatine Board of Realtors (Muscatine, Louisa, and part of Cedar County), Quad City Board of Realtors, and East Central Board of Realtors (from the Q-C area to Dubuque). There are eight regions in all of Iowa.
As vice president, Mack said, “My duties are to serve on the board of directors for the state, be a liaison for the boards I represent to the state, and vote on issues concerning realtors in the state of Iowa. I go to the winter meetings, summer meetings, state and national realtor convention, and attend national meetings in May in Washington, D.C.”
Mack has worked toward this opportunity for many years and says she is very excited to embrace this new challenge as a realtor. “I have reached this point by doing the best job I can representing my clients and the local realtors. I was Muscatine Board vice president in 2010, and president in 2011 and 2012. I have also been the delegate to the state board of directors for the past several years,” said Mack.
This position means Mack will have new responsibilities, but her clients shouldn’t fear, as she promises to work just as hard as she always has. She is excited about the new opportunities that will become available with this honor. She said, “This means more exposure for my listings, more exposure for my office, and a large number of realtors I have direct networking contact with across the state of Iowa. This is an honor, to represent at the state level. The one thing it will not do is take time away from representing my clients to the same degree I already do.”
